Lao Club of Kansas City

Mission Statement: Lao Club of Kansas City exists to encourage participation of both senior and younger generation Laotians to promote cultural and social gathering of its members in the Kansas City area.

Objective:

• To provide social gathering and promote Lao customs & culture
• To promote activities that encourage fitness and health
• To assist its member with social and community events

Proposed Sport Activities:
Provide well-structured sports and recreation for youths and adults. General opportunities to participate in physical activities. Such as:

• Golf
• Volleyball
• Ping pong
• Badminton
• Ga Thaw (Hacky Sack)

Proposed Activities:

• Lao dance for both youth and adults
• Annual camping trip and picnic
• Youth scholarship
• Beauty contest
• Recognition Gala
• Lao Idol singing competition
• Lao New Year's Celebration
• So U Think U Can "Faun" Dance Contest
• Fund Raising - Texas Hold'em Poker Tournaments
