Holiday Match
Winners in other groups during the day included: Bichon
Frise, Niko Taz Bolin owned and handled by Wilma Bolin (Non-sporting);
German Shepherd Dog, Dakota Von Hausmeyer owned and handled by Bryan Owens (Herding); Pug, Frank, owned and handled by Dawn Pettus (Toy); Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier, Cathal's Flighty Hannah Belle owned and handled by Chris Wilson (Terrier); and
Mastiff, Pegasus Triniti's Hearthside (Tye), owned and handled by
Judy There were no entries in Hounds. In addition to the group winners, who were also Best of Breed in their respective classes, were Best of Breed winners Rupert Bear Jones (English Cocker Spaniel) owned and handled by Jane Parker, Kee
West Patent Pending, (Welsh Pembroke Corgi) owned by Kimberly Maffit
& Donna Stewart, handled by Kimberly Maffit and Lacey's Rusty II (Golden Retriever) owned by Lacey Beckwith and Vickie Landell and handled by Lacey Beckwith. Obedience competition was also held. Taking ribbons in Obedience were Timothy, English Cocker Spaniel owned and handled by Jane Parker and Bobby, Gordon Setter owned by Jean Janzen and handled by both Jane Parker and Jean Janzen. Janzen's Bobby accumulated the high score in obedience. Competing in Junior Showmanship was 12 year old Lacey Beckwith of Somerset who won ribbons and prizes for best in that category. In this competition the handler, not the dog, are judged.
